UzCharmExpo-2026: New Opportunities for Exports and International Cooperation

The 21st International Exhibition and Fair for Leather, Footwear, Leather Goods, Fur, Wool and Localized Products, UzCharmExpo-2026, was held at Uzexpocentre NEC in Tashkent in cooperation with the international exhibitions Heimtextil, Apparel Sourcing and Texworld.

Around 70 foreign companies and organizations from more than 30 countries participated in the event. The exhibition provided an effective platform for showcasing the potential of domestic manufacturers, establishing new business contacts and expanding export opportunities for Uzbekistan’s leather and footwear industry.

More than 1,000 types of products were presented to over 1,500 visitors, including artificial leather, accessories, materials and components for footwear manufacturing, soles, adhesives and textile accessories, as well as around 100 samples of new products.

As part of the exhibition, meetings were held with representatives of companies from Germany, China, Türkiye, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, India and other countries to discuss trade, economic and investment cooperation.

Particular attention was paid to negotiations with the German companies LiCON MT GmbH & Co. KG and LiCon GmbH. During the meetings, an initiative was proposed to implement a new project in Uzbekistan specializing in leather processing. An agreement was reached to hold further negotiations with potential domestic partners.

Following business meetings between Uzbek and foreign enterprises, work is underway to develop agreements on export contracts worth a total of USD 50 million at the initial stage. The negotiations covered the supply and export of leather, footwear products, raw materials, materials and components.

UzCharmExpo-2026 marked an important step towards strengthening international business ties, expanding the export geography of Made in Uzbekistan products and attracting foreign investment to the country’s leather and footwear industry.
