The chairman of the "Uzcharmsanoat" Association Fakhriddin Boboev visited the Socialist Republic of Vietnam within a government delegation. The purpose of this visit is to establish new trade and economic relations with the country.

While on a visit to Hanoi – the capital city of Vietnam, Mr. Chairman held talks with Nguyen Van Him, CEO of "Thuong Dinh Pootwear" JSC company.

For information: The enterprise was founded in 1957. The main activity is the production of all types of vulcanized and canvas footwear products. With 1,000 employees, the enterprise currently owns 6 modern production lines, computerized looms. In addition to the monthly production of 200,000 pairs of shoes, this company is also considered as a large provider of rubber and glues to the footwear industry.

Negotiations began at the meeting table and continued with familiarization with the production capacities of the Vietnamese enterprise. At the meeting, the parties discussed cooperation in several directions at the same time.

In the first direction, cooperation on the supply of finished leather products produced in Uzbekistan will be established regarding the company's demand. "Thuong Dinh Footwear" JSC also plans to operate as a distributor for the supply of leather from Uzbekistan, aiming to supply and distribute the products to Vietnamese leather and footwear enterprises. Before making such a decision, the company, firstly, examines samples of leather products from various producers of Uzbekistan, such as "Hamkor Nur Savdo", "Nafis Charm" and "Peng Sheng Charm", then analyzes the cost and logistics issues. The parties agreed to sign an appropriate contract for the successful implementation of cooperation in this direction.

The second issue on the agenda was the cooperation on supplying rubber and latex glue used in the shoe industry of Uzbekistan. It is the fact that "Thuong Dinh Footwear" JSC is one of the largest suppliers of these products in the world, and their products are brought to Uzbekistan through China. The issue of direct supply of rubber and glue without intermediaries was discussed at the meeting, which allows to further reduce the cost of shoe production.

The third direction of cooperation is the sale of the company's footwear products in the market of Uzbekistan. The enterprise produces sneakers with rubber soles using "Hot pot vulcanization" technology. Shoes are made in a complete block "assembled". The base is glued. In addition, it is covered with a special rubber band on the sides. After that, the batch of sneakers is sent to a special oven. It is heated there for 75-80 minutes at a temperature of about 100-110 degrees.

Because this production line has not yet been mastered in Uzbekistan, the partners were offered a cooperation initiative, which involves not only importing shoes, but also establishing a joint production project in our country.

The head of the Vietnamese company was given detailed information about the industrial potential of Uzbekistan's leather-shoe industry, the business environment, and the conditions created for investors. Also, information was presented about tax and customs benefits, advantages of special small industrial zones specializing in the production of leather and footwear products in 16 regions of our country.
