The leadership of Uzhcharmsanoat and our embassy in the United Kingdom held a meeting with the International Council of Leather Manufacturers (ICT) and Kerry Senior, executive director of Leather UK. The main topic of the dialogue was the acceleration of the penetration of leather goods manufacturing enterprises in the UK and the EU market, the introduction of new technologies in the companies of our country, and the development of relations in the direction of export.

The executive director of ICT and "Leather UK" association was presented with detailed information about the production potential, investment and export indicators of the leather-footwear industry of our country by the leadership of the association.

 "Uzcharmsanoat" association has been an equal member of ICT since 2018. In the past period, a number of projects were implemented in cooperation with the rapid penetration of our local enterprises into the EU market. The international organization provided legal assistance in setting up the management policy of Uzbek enterprises.

He said in recent years, the leather industry of Uzbekistan has achieved stable growth indicators, despite the processes of globalization, disruptions in logistics, economic decline observed in the network, products are produced based on international standards and have recorded high indicators in the world market.\

 The international organization announced that it is now ready to provide legal assistance to Uzbek enterprises in order to ensure their stability in the world market. He also put forward proposals for joint implementation of work to achieve international standards.

At the end of the negotiations, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between "Uzcharmsanoat" association and ICT and "Leather UK" association.

This memorandum provides legal advice and practices for supplying our local products to the UK and EU markets.
