Uzbek Companies Conducting Export Negotiations in Vietnam

The “25th International Shoes & Leather Exhibition – Vietnam”, held in Ho Chi Minh City, has become not just a participation milestone but an important step in Uzbekistan’s export diplomacy for its leather industry.

The “Made in Uzbekistan” national pavilion, organized by the Uzcharmsanoat Association, drew significant attention from visitors and participants. Around 10 domestic companies showcased their products, including finished leather, gelatin, and specialized footwear. From the first days, constructive negotiations began with several new buyers, wholesale importers, and major manufacturing firms.

One key meeting was held with LEFASO, Vietnam’s largest association of leather, footwear, and bag manufacturers. During discussions with its Vice President, mechanisms were reviewed for direct supply of Uzbek finished leather to over 2,000 LEFASO member companies.

This initiative represents not just export, but integration into a strategic supply chain, placing Uzbek products within a stable and long-term procurement system.

STAR EXPORTS (India) expressed intent to purchase 5 containers of wet-blue leather from Uzbekistan. The company is currently negotiating with “Global Avangard” LLC on contract terms, pricing, logistics, and specifications. Sample shipments are under consideration for launching regular deliveries.

A+B HIDES (Germany) showed strong interest in acquiring finished leather from Uzbekistan. Companies “Hamkor Nur Savdo” and “Global Avangard” are engaged in negotiations. The German firm praised the product’s quality, compliance with ecological standards, certification, and logistics. Sample shipments are being arranged, along with technical verification.

JETSHOES (Taiwan) officially expressed interest in finished sheepskin from Uzbekistan. The company specializes in eco-friendly and recycled materials. Technical specifications were shared, and Uzbekistan is preparing to send matching product samples.

JAY DEE LEATHER (India) held talks with Uzbek brands DSM and Top Quality regarding the supply of finished leather products. A sample shipment agreement was reached.

Notably, JAY DEE LEATHER plans not only to purchase but also to promote Uzbek products in the Asian market via its own marketing and sales channels.
