Chairman of the "Uzcharmsanoat" Association Fakhriddin Boboev met with Christian Aachmann, CEO of the Danish company Auluna Private Label. Both sides discussed the possibilities of producing eco-leather goods in Uzbekistan.

Auluna Private Label has its roots all the way back to 1965, when the company started with the production of leather garments at its own factory in Denmark and today is an online retailer of eco-leather and textile clothing in Scandinavia and Germany. The company's production is mainly located in China. However, due to the complexity of logistics, it takes 6 - 7 weeks to deliver goods from China to Europe. In this regard, the company is looking for a new location for the production.

As the investor emphasized, he had heard about the dynamic development of the leather and footwear industry in Uzbekistan, and he intended to move part of the production from China to Uzbekistan. To this end, Mr. K. Aachmann conducts a comprehensive study of the business environment of our country and the logistics features of the regions.

The plans include mastering the production of eco-leather outerwear. The investor also put forward an initiative to set up a showroom presenting footwear products manufactured in Uzbekistan in Denmark, together with the “Uzcharmsanoat” association, as well as to create an online platform for selling products in the Scandinavian countries.

Following the dialogue, the parties agreed on a detailed development of a plan for the starting the production of eco-leather goods in Uzbekistan.
